Ingredients :

1/2 cup shortening
1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Cream shortening and sugar, then add the eggs. Mix well. Add vanilla and pumpkin. Set aside.
